How to Make a Cake Delivery Box | Cake Business Tips

For more of Caljava"s Cake videos, subscribe Find more about below.

With a few everyday materials, Meghan shows how she makes a reusable and affordable box that makes delivering her cakes much easier and safer. This is also a great way to create a makeshift refrigerator when your regular fridge is either too full or too small. With a little dry ice this box can keep your cake chilled for an entire day. (Video is 3:30 min)

Dry Ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide. It is used primarily as a cooling agent. Its advantages include lower temperature than that of water ice and not leaving any residue. It is useful for preserving frozen foods, ice cream, etc., where mechanical cooling is unavailable. Do not handle with bare hands, must use gloves or tongs.

wow what a great idea! thankyou! here i was thinking i was going to have to
make a box out of wood hahaha. this is so handy! it gets VERY VERY hot
here. I hope to God this works for me!

  8. lagcraig62

Oh and it was only like $5.00 with tax. Very reasonable compared to a $100
    cake disaster.

  9. Tigerlillyxo12

biggest saviour! just saved me from spending hundred of dollars for
multiple cake boxes. smart idea THANK YOU!!!!´╗┐

  10. Jolema Delacruz

I just LOVED this idea. I have a few questions. I will be traveling from
Nevada to California for about 5-6 hour drive on a Friday and delivered
that following Sat afternoon. The cake will be buttercream/fondant covered
but will have Bavarian cream filling. Will this hold up for the traveling
and next day delivery if I just get a bigger box for the dry ice? I’m
concerned about the filling which is a commercial product. Thanks for any
    advice on this.´╗┐

  12. Veronique Cataldo

i love this and it is perfect for the heat here in the United Arab

I think a non slip pad would work better than tape ´╗┐

  18. Valerie Townsend

When using dry ice I suggest that you put it in small plastic sandwich bags
then place it in the desired areas of the box to transport the cake. ´╗┐

  19. Ketoera Eersteling
